The "Instrument" This YouTuber Uses For His Retro Covers Is As Perfect As It Is Weird

Disney / Columbia

Youtuber "MrSolidSnake745" is one of many people to perform covers of popular songs from musicians, movies, TV, and even video games on Youtube. However, unlike others who do smooth jazz renditions of heavy metal songs, or heavy metal renditions of pop songs, MrSolidSnake745 doesn't even use conventional instruments!

Instead, the covers are performed using the sounds of the motors from old computer floppy disc drives and stepper motors! You'd think this would sound atrocious, but as these 10 covers show, they're actually pretty great!

Toy Story - "You've Got  A Friend In Me"

Super Mario World - "Athletic Theme"

Star Wars - "Imperial March"

System of a Down - "Aerials"

Final Fantasy VII - "Those Who Fight Further (Boss Theme)"
