Will Smith Just Released A New Single, And We're Not Gettin' Jiggy With It

During the 90s, Will Smith was obviously the Fresh Prince that we all knew and loved. His songs were basically the happiest rap songs around. They were upbeat, positive, and unlike other rap songs from the time, didn't use any bad language.

Whether he was 'Gettin Jiggy With It'...

Or heading down to 'Miami'

He brought us to the 'Wild Wild West'

And helped us learn about the super cool 'Men In Black'

But then it stopped being as important to have a song to match the movie so he stopped making them. The last movie he added his own song to was Hitch, which got the song 'Switch' to go along with it.

When he became one of the most popular movie stars in Hollywood, he seemed to leave his music career in the past, but he seems to have finally decided to make his comeback to the rap game.

For the first time in 10 years Will Smith has a new song, but honestly it's not what you might have expected...

The new song was performed at the Livewire Festival in Blackpool accompanied by his good friend DJ Jazzy Jeff. The crowd was pretty huge and excited to hear Will Smith's new song 'Get Lit'.

The song is interesting... It's a lot different from anything we have ever heard him do before, but judge for yourself.

The song has more of an EDM feel than his old songs. While it's normal to evolve and change over time, it doesn't mean that we ever really expect it.

I feel like no matter what year it is, we all kind of want to keep our singers the we remember them. It's probably not fair to them, but that's really the way it is.
