"Trading Spaces" Is Getting The Reboot We Have All Been Anticipating

If you remember sitting down to watch Trading Spaces in the early 2000's, you're not alone.

As what some dub to be the best home renovation show of all time, Trading Spaces has two sets of neighbors swap houses and redesign each others's home, with the owners having no say in the changes. Sounds like fun, right? And it was fun to watch, too.

We saw some pretty creative designs come out of the show, like:

The Upside Down Room

The Bloody Kitchen

And who could forget this?

Yup! This show was an amazing testament to the early 2000's.

As a fan of the show, you probably already know that TLC is launching a reboot of the series next year. I know! I can't wait either. As we get closer to the air date, we are finding out details about the reboot that have us getting excited!

The 2018 version of Trading Spaces will stick with the original format and have a budget of $1,000 per room.

Paige Davis will be back to host

This past summer, TLC announced what everyone had been waiting to hear, Paige Davis will be back to host.

"I'm back at TLC, back home, back where I belong, and I am so thrilled," Paige said in a video for TLC.

Yessss....!

Other favorites are also returning!

Designers Doug Wilson, Genevieve Gorder, Hildi Santo-Tomas, Vern Yip, Frank Bielic and Laurie Smith will all be making an appearance on the reboot. If you're not girly screaming yet, here's the reason, Carpenters Ty Pennington and Carter Oosterhouse have signed on too!

There will be new cast members to get excited about too!

In addition to our much-loved cast members from the original, the network has brought on new designers Sabrina Soto, John Gidding and Kahi Lee. Brett Tutor and Joanie Sprague have also signed on as carpenters for the show.

Crazy room designs aside, imagine the Trading Spaces van showing up in your driveway and your favorite host pops out- amazing!

If you live in Atlanta, Baltimore or Los Angeles, you're in luck because TLC is casting for the show.

Trading Spaces is coming back 10 years after it went off the air.

Has it really been 10 years? Where has the time gone? Back in its day it was the most successful show ever on TLC and was the first show to start the home renovation phenomenon that we all love.
