The First Photo Of Tom Hanks As Mister Rogers Was Released And We're Ready To Be His Neighbor
I think we can all agree that the world is kind of a rough place these days. With all the craziness happening in the news and all around the world, a lot of us just need an escape.
It's often nice to slip into our memories, and try to focus on the things we used to love as kids, simply because they are a lot more pure and innocent than the things we think about now.
One of the most universally loved shows of all time was Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. He taught us how to be kind and understanding, and thanks to him we are all slightly better people.
To celebrate the iconic Fred Rogers, Sony is making a movie about his life. The film is currently untitled, but with Tom Hanks in the role of the iconic children's show host, we know it's got to be good.
The film is set to be released in October 2019, but with filming underway, we got to see what Hanks is going to look like as Mister Rogers, and it's absolutely perfect.
Needless to say, people are having some pretty excellent reactions to this spot-on look. Personally, I am thrilled. I don't think they could have cast anyone better to fill that cardigan, and I can't wait to see what the movie is going to be, and I'm not alone in my excitement.

Actor Josh Gad is ready for Hanks' portrayal, saying, "This picture is literally the only thing preventing multiple nervous breakdowns and stroke across the country right now." Sure, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but you can see where he's coming from.
This is exactly what our country needs right now.
