What Happened To All Our Favorite Characters From 'The Drew Carey Show'?
The beloved show that made us hold our stomachs as we laughed off tears went on for nine seasons until it ended in 2004.
When the first season came out in 1995, we were all giddy with excitement. The fictionalized version of the life of the former host of Whose Line Is It Anyway? was relatable and amusing.
However, not everyone could appreciate the show because it stood in the shadows of popular sitcoms like Seinfeld, Friends, The Simpsons, and Everybody Loves Raymond.
That being said, for those who did love this show, here's what your favorite characters have been up to since they aired the last episode.
Lewis Kiniski (Ryan Stiles)
Known for his improv comedy on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Ryan was perhaps the most loved character on the show. Ryan played on Two and a Half Men for several years, and is still on the rebooted version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? with host Aisha Tyler.
Nigel Wick (Craig Ferguson)
Considered one of Great Britain's leading comedians, Craig has had a great career since his departure from the show. He's done a couple TV special documentaries and hosted the show The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Kate O'Brien (Christa Miller)
Since she left the show in 2004, Christa has gone on to play various roles in popular TV shows like Scrubs, CSI: Miami, and Cougar Town.
Oswald Lee Harvey (Diedrich Bader)
Like his other co-stars, Diedrich has been pretty busy voicing animated shows like Ultimate Spider-Man and Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness. Do you remember him playing Rex in Napoleon Dynamite? He's seriously been around. He also appeared in episodes of Veep and Two and a Half Men.
Steve Carey (John Carroll Lynch)
Once his cross-dressing years were over, John moved on to play in hugely successful films like Shutter Island, Gran Torino, and Zodiac.
Kellie Newmark (Cynthia Watros)
Cynthia appeared as Drew's girlfriend/wife for only a few seasons in the show, but many loved her character. For those who miss this shining bright star, she's gone on to star in TV shows like Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Hawaii Five-0, The Young and the Restless, and Finding Carter.
Mimi Bobeck (Kathy Kinney)
We can all agree that we loved Mimi, but what has she been doing since the show ended? Well, she went on to launch a children's website where she read books from her library. She also made an appearance on the The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and on The Price Is Right. She hasn't been doing as much as her other co-stars, but she's still doing well.
Drew Allison Carey Sr. (Drew Carey)
Now for the beer loving, blue-collar guy himself. Drew has mostly appeared as a host or as himself in TV shows since his show ended. He's made one or two episode appearances in shows like The Simpsons and Community, but his best role after the show ended was becoming the host of The Price Is Right.
