How The Strongest Couple From Our Childhood Almost Fell Apart

After being married for 15 years, two of our favorite faces from the 90s are sharing the secrets to their lasting union.

The Buffy The Vampire Slayer alum appeared on Harry Connick Jr.'s talk show and spilled some secrets about her marriage that have us all surprised.

The couple first met while filming the 1997 hit I Know What You Did Last Summer, and after a dinner date in 2000, the sparks flew.

"We ended up being the perfect balance. But it didn't happen until years after and there was a solid foundation built, and that's probably the main reason why we've always been cool and groovy," Freddie said.

The couple were married 15 years ago, in 2002, and share two children together; 7-year-old Charlotte Grace and 5-year-old Rocky James.

“My husband thinks I’m crazy, but I’m not the one who married me,” the 40-year-old Cruel Intentions star cheekily wrote in the caption of her Instagram post. “#happyanniversary @realfreddieprinze 15 years!!”

So what's their secret?

“Separate bathrooms,” Sarah said as she got a laugh from the host and audience. “I feel like there are certain things that should just be kept your own and they never need to know.”

That's when she really got into the habit that almost cost her and Freddie their marriage.

“Also, maybe, possibly, a separate shopping credit card?” the actress said. “Or if you are a guy, maybe a separate gaming card so I don’t have to see how much video games cost.”

Connick Jr. agreed that was good advice reflecting on the time his wife, Victoria's Secret model Jill Goodacre, threatened to leave him if he didn't stop playing the video game "Call of Duty."

"I was playing 'Call of Duty' for a long time and it got to a point where, I’m not kidding you, Jill said, 'I'm going to leave you if you don’t stop the video games,'" he admitted.

Sarah shared the same sentiment, sharing her frustration about her husband's addiction of playing "World of Warcraft."

“There used to be a game called ‘World of Warcraft,’” Sarah said. “I literally at this point was like, I lost my husband, so I joined a support group ― not a joke ― called ‘Widows of Warcraft,’” she said.

The actress was serious about joining the support group to try and save her marriage to the She's All That actor.

“Ladies, if you are losing them to video game world, there are support groups out there on this thing called the world wide interweb and you can meet other people who have dealt with this same issue and have suggestions on how to communicate [about] the video game,” she said. Or, Sarah joked, “Have kids, cause there’s just no time.”
