The Conners Are Back In The First Photos Of 'Roseanne' Revival
The reunion everyone has been excited for has finally started production! All the Conners were back at the table together for the first time in 20 years and it's as though they never left.
Roseanne was on the air between 1988 and 1997, but because networks won't stop making reboots, it's back! The first episode of the new Roseanne reboot will be called Twenty Years to Life and it will feature all the original cast.
Rosanne Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Michael Fishman and Levy Goranson will all be back for the eight episode series. People were originally a little bit confused because in the original series Goodman's character, Dan, died from a heart attack, but apparently this will be adressed.
The cast reunited to get started on the project and honestly based on the pictures, it's like they never left...
When the reunion was announced, ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey said that it will be "very much tonally be similar to the original," and that it will be "unflinching, honest, and irreverent at times."
The sitcom will come back to TV in early 2018 on ABC, but there are a few things that remain unknown. Sarah Chalke, who had replaced Becky in the later seasons, will be back in the show but she will no longer be playing the daughter of Roseanne and Dan. We don't know who she will play, but at least she will have a part in the revival!
A bigger mystery is how they will handle Johnny Galecki's character, David. He was the on-an-off boyfriend of Sarah Gilbert's character, Darlene, but because of his contract with The Big Bang Theory, they aren't sure if he can return. The characters were married by the end of the series, so it'll be interesting to see how they handle that.
They have revealed that David and Darlene have two kids who will be in the show, so hopefully they can figure out a good way to get Galecki on the show! I mean, they brought Dan back from the dead so they can really do anything right?
