We Finally Know How The 'Roseanne' Revival Is Going To Deal With Having Two "Beckys"

When it was announced there would be a revival of 90s sitcom Roseanne, fans lost their sh*t, and then proceeded to flood the Internet with a tirade of questions.

As the series ended in 1997, the most prominent question people asked was, "who would be returning?" As the show's cast went on to lead (mostly) successful careers, it was hard to believe they would all have the free time to appear in the reboot.

However, we naysayers were wrong, as the entire main cast is set to return, including both actresses who played Becky.

It was revealed Lecy Goranson, who played Becky until season five would reprise the role, while Sarah Chalke would play a new character.

This sent fans into a tailspin, speculating what kind of character Chalke would playing.

It only took six months after the announcement, but we finally have the answer.

Chalke said producers Tom Werner and Sara Gilbert (who will also be reprising her role as Darlene Conner) reached out to her to rejoin the cast.

"I was so excited to hear that it was coming back. I think the timing is perfect," Chalke told  Entertainment Weekly. "I think it’s exactly what is needed right now. Right now when the country is so divided, I really think it’s a show that brings people together. The writing is so unbelievable. It's so funny."

It was released Chalke will be playing the role of Andrea, a middle-class woman who hires Becky to be her surrogate.

"I love the part! It’s such a fun part to play," Chalke said about her new character.

The new character will provide fresh drama for the Conner family, and showcase how important both Goranson and Chalke are to the series.

The series's revival is set to premiere on ABC on March 27.
