Keanu Reeves Reveals The Future Of The Bill & Ted Movie Series And It's Most Excellent
It seems like there are very few movies out there that don't end up getting a sequel or two. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure got a sequel all the way back in 1991, but now there are rumors that they are making another one.
Keanu Reeves starred in the original as Ted, and recently he spoke up about plans for a third installment of the franchise.
Even though the movie came out almost 30 years ago, people still love the goofy characters and the ridiculous plot. In the first movie, Bill and Ted for back in time and meet a bunch of historical figures.
They meet Billy the Kid, Socrates, Princess Elizabth, Sigmund Freud, Ludwig van Beethoven, and even Joan of Arc.
They decide to bring them all back to the future to help them with their report for school because according to the person who brought them the time machine it's incredibly important that they do.
Reeves said that he hopes to make the third part of the series "before [he's] 60", and he already knows what the plot would be...
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have both been interested in doing another movie. Reeves said that "we're trying."
Apparently getting the movie made isn't as simple as two actors wanting to make it happen. "There's a script out there. We're just trying to get it made. Show business is tough," Reeves said at New York Comic Con.
However, even though we don't know when it would be getting made, Reeves gave us a little bit of a sneak peak about what it would be. "They’re supposed to save the world. But when we see them, they haven’t saved the world, and they’re married and have kids. And they’re playing to nobody. … But they have to write the song… and face the music! Hopefully we’ll make it before I’m 60."
Reeves has long since transitioned into an action star, but he would be willing to come back for this role and he's not the only one.
Alex Winter, who played Bill, is also happy to come back. He had an interview with The Sun last year were he shared some other inside info about the plot. "The script is already written for the third film and much of it is set in the UK. The whole film is going to have a huge British feel….They’ll time-travel through London and meet historical figures, meaning the Queen and Winston Churchill could get cameos."
