'The Jerry Springer Show' Is Ending, But We'll Never Forget These Iconic Moments

After over 4,000 episodes, 27 seasons, and countless fights, The Jerry Springer Show is ending.

That's right, never again will we hear the crowd yell, "JERRY, JERRY" as a bunch of people throw chairs at each other on stage.

The thing is, because the show has been on so long, we all tended to take it for granted. We just assume that we can turn the TV on at any time and watch some ridiculous fight about some topic that we didn't know was an issue.

But there are a lot of things we will miss about the show. As insane as it was, it was a source of entertainment for us. It was the ultimate trainwreck, and yet we all loved it. Don't lie, you know you did.

Where else will you watch a show where a man marries a horse?

Is it legal? No, of course not, but that doesn't mean we didn't want to watch this nonsense on our TVS.

Springer himself commented on this episode that ironically was aired near the Kentucky Derby.

"We wanted horse lovers to watch. But I tell people who don’t follow our show that the horse left him. And you’ll be happy to know I came out against it in my ‘Final Thought’ segment.”

Or watch a bunch of fights between long-lost family members, friends, or cheating spouses?

It didn't matter what the episode was about, it's going to end in a fight.

The show taught us important phrases like "Talk to the hand"

Everyone in the 90s was saying it, but the show helped make it popular. “For a lot of people, it was the first time they’d heard that phrase,” Springer said. “A lot of the new phrases from the younger generation, you get to hear first on our show. Now they all say, ‘I’m not hearing that!’”

Food fights were a regular occurrence

Springer learned that having food on the stage was never a great option. “I have learned that whenever food is brought out, no one is going to get to eat it,” Springer said. “As soon as I see food being brought out, you will see me step off the stage and go into the crowd. I can’t have the food on my suits!”

No other show will introduce us to people with names like Spam-Man or Meat Lady

It seems like every week there was a crazy new character to meet (or meat)... No matter what kind of unique things they were into, it's not really easy to forget these crazy characters. You may not remember what their exact deal was, but their name is going to stick with you forever.

The show will never be forgotten, probably because it'll live on in reruns forever, but we would like to thank it for its nonsense.

Thank you Jerry Springer, you got us through a lot of sick days and insomniac nights, and we are glad you were always there to keep us entertained!

It was just the most outrageous show that we watched on daytime TV, but at least there will always be something new...
