'Halloweentown' Stars Plan Touching Tribute In Honor Of Debbie Reynolds

Halloweentown is one of those movies that has an enormous following. The 1998 Disney movie was the dream for a lot of us. I mean, who didn't want their grandma to come tell them they are a witch?

Marnie Piper wants nothing more than to go out for Halloween and enjoy the festivities, but her mom, Gwen, won't let her.

Her grandmother Aggie, played by Debbie Reynolds, desperately wanted to teach Marnie how to be a witch, but Gwen fights her on it.

Marnie overhears the fight and ends up following her grandmother home and that's when it all really begins. It's then that Aggie tells them about the hooded demon that is terrorizing the town.

There are a bunch of crazy characters that the kids have to deal with, but it all comes down to Marnie to attack the big hooded demon before her grandma and mom help to defeat it.

They are able return to the regular world but at least now Marnie's mom knows she can handle herself.

Well, this year our favorite young witch will be back with her whole family in honor of the late Debbie Reynolds.

Reynolds passed away late last year, so her former cast mates have decided to honor her memory by reuniting in the town where the movie was filmed.

Debbie Reynolds was an absolute treasure and she deserves all the love we can give her. Luckily the cast of Halloweentown agrees and have decided to do something about it.

Kimberly J. Brown, aka Marnie the witch has decided to head back to the real Halloweentown!

Every year the town of St. Helens, Oregon, hosts a "Spirit of Halloweentown" festival. They light a giant jack-o'-lantern, they recreate the entire set, and this year the cast will be there for the whole thing!

Marnie (Kimberly J. Brown), Dylan (J. Paul Zimmerman), Gewn (Judith Hoag) will all attend the festive this year on October 14th. Little Sophie (Emily Roeske) is also trying to get her schedule all organized so she can come too.

Brown shared a video that explained the festival and how she wanted to do a tribute to her former cast mate Debbie Reynolds. There will be photo-ops, meet-and-greets and a bunch of other events over the weekend.
