15 Songs We All Love From Bands We Otherwise Pretend To Hate

They say that even a broken clock is right twice a day, and so it is that sometimes bands that are pretty damn awful manage to blow us away by delivering a genuinely great hit. Case and point, we still have no idea how these 15 bands managed to pull these songs off.

Crazy Town - "Butterfly"

I hate how much I love this song. I mean, just look at the video.

Europe - "The Final Countdown"

Possibly the single cheesiest song in history, and it's the one song by this band that I'll still throw on today.

Train - "Drops of Jupiter"

Before terrible metaphors about grocery bags and drive-by shootings, Train released this song that's been stuck in our heads ever since.

The Bravery - "An Honest Mistake"

Remember when The Killers made everyone think electropop was going to be the biggest thing? The Bravery were part of that wave, and were super mediocre aside from this great jam.

Hanson - "Mmmbop"

One of the world's single biggest music regrets of the 90s, it's impossible to deny how catchy this song is.

Limp Bizkit - "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)"

Fred Durst has the most punchable face in music, but I'd be lying if I said the riff from this song didn't get me every time.

Undeniably catchy, this was on the mix CD everyone sent to their crush. Just a shame about the rest of their songs.

Papa Roach - "Scars"

Despite some hilariously dumb songs like "Last Resort," Papa Roach proved they could knock out a meaningful rock song when they really, really tried.

Fall Out Boy - "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs"

If I never hear "Sugar, We're Going Down" again it'll be too soon, but this song is absolutely killer.

A mediocre nu-metal band got a shot in the arm with this reggae and funk-inspired song, but never came back from it.
