Former Teen Heartthrob Reveals Illness That Will End His Career
When you ask anyone who was a teenager during the early 70s who their childhood crush was they are probably going to say one name: David Cassidy. The Partridge Family's oldest son was always everyone's favorite because of his long hair and his good-guy charm.
However Cassidy has revealed that he has been struggling with an illness that has put an end to his career. "I was in denial, but a part of me always knew this was coming," he said while he announced that he was suffering from dementia.
Both his grandfather and mother struggled with dementia before they passed away. Cassidy himself has been struggling with other issues including 3 arrests, bankruptcy and divorce. It hasn't been an easy life but he has decided that with this latest diagnosis he will be taking time to himself.
It's a little unclear whether or not he intends on completing his 2017 tour, originally he was supposed to finish it out but now he told People that he would be quitting sooner.
"I want to focus on what I am, who I am and how I've been, without any distractions. I want to love. I want to enjoy life," David Cassidy said in his announcement.
