In an interview with TMZ, David Hasslehoff spoke about his new professional relationship with director James Gunn.
He loved working with the team, saying that "The cameo in the sequel was kind of the icing on the cake. What was cool was that they mentioned the name Hasslehoff."
He said that it really cool to have his name used in the sequel so much and that he found out that it all happened because James Gunn was a fan.
Hasslehoff said, "It all happened because James Gun watched Knight Rider when he was eight-years-old!"
He continued by saying "I embrace Baywatch, I embrace Knight Rider, especially Knight Rider, and now, we're in talks about maybe bringing it back as a series, which is unbelievable!"
He's aware that people didn't love the other reboots of Knight Rider, but said that "It's got to be true to what it was. Let me be the old guy! Let me be Devin! I can't run, I can't fight, I can't jump, but I can still drive."
He says that James Gunn is currently working on getting the rights to the show so that he can create something new.
