Caboodles Are Trendy Again And You Can Buy One Without Breaking The Bank

If you grew up in the 80s and the 90s, then you definitely owned a Caboodle On-The-Go-Girl. Inspired by "It Girl" Vanna White, every preteen and teenager, who was allowed to wear makeup, owned one of these colorful cases because how else would you organize and store your cosmetics?

Caboodles came in handy in several instances, especially when you needed to make sure that your makeup products will safely make it to the sleepover at your best friend's house.

Back then, the coveted cases came in a variety of shades and styles to suit individual styles and needs.

Some were designed with minimalists in mind

While others featured more vibrant colors for those who liked to make a statement

But regardless of how they appeared on the outside, it was the inside that had us obsessed. Every case housed multiple compartments so you can store your brushes, lip glosses (lip smackers of course), nail polishes, eye shadows, body glitter, and more. Caboodles also came with a built-in mirror, so you can conveniently apply your makeup on the go.

Some were even designed so you can store jewelry and other small trinkets, like butterfly clips, and friendship bracelets.

Also, since the cases did not come with any designs on them safe for the multi-colored Caboodles logo, we were able to add our own personal touches to them. Stickers were a popular way to personalize your Caboodle to make it stand out from the rest. Ah, the memories.

Over the years, we swapped out our Caboodles for more age appropriate storage solutions, but that doesn't mean we don't miss having one of these plastic organizers on our dresser.

Well, lucky for us, the company has decided to bring back the original designs we fell in love with way back when, and you can get your hands on them right away!

While Caboodles never went out of business, the company scaled back on its production of the cases we became so familiar with. They still "continued to expand products to offer a full range of train cases, specialty cases, and “it” bags," throughout the 90s and the 00s.

However, these new cases did not exactly look like our beloved pastel-hued plastic organizers.

Now, decades later, the colorful Caboodles are back in the market, and we're dying to get our hands on one.

Urban Outfitters is currently selling these once-popular cases in select stores and online. Unlike the versions available on the brand's official website, the ones sold by the fashion retailer are almost identical to the ones you owned back in the day. They even have the same colorful logo sticker in the front.

There are minor differences between the new and original Caboodles, the biggest one being that the multi-tiered storage system doesn't appear to be nearly as spacious as it once were.

However, this shouldn't be an issue because most of us 80s and 90s kids live in places bigger than our childhood bedroom (hopefully), and we won't have to rely solely on a plastic organizer to store our makeup.

What these new Caboodles will be really good for is travel. You'll be able to fit all of your travel-sized cosmetics in the compact with ease.
