15 Wonka Treats We All Wish Weren't Just Pure Imagination

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is one of the greatest movies ever made. Gene Wilder's version of Willy Wonka is by far the definitive performance of the character, and one of the best of his entire career.

The movie is one of those classics that has remained a favorite for decades, but it's not only because the acting is so good. The set decoration in this movie is beyond incredible. Everything is supposed to be edible inside the factory, and they were able to make it all look so appetizing. Which of the treats looks like it would be the most delicious and which would you actually want to eat?

Let's give them some ratings!

Chocolate River

So it makes sense that there needs to be a huge supply of chocolate, but I am not sure that river form is the best way to store it. Even if German children aren't sticking their hands in it, there are many other things that could fall in and ruin the flavor.

Rating: 5/10 - Good in theory, bad in reality

Edible Tea Cups

You know what, not having to do dishes is a pretty powerful incentive. Even if the cup doesn't taste great, you don't have to wash it! Chances are it would taste awesome though, Willy Wonka is the best of the best.

Rating: 8/10 - Not having to wash the dish is a pretty huge selling feature in my opinion

Giant Gummy Bears

I mean, you can actually buy these so it isn't like this is all that outrageous. Although at the time, they weren't readily available so it must have been pretty awesome.

Rating: 6/10 - That is SO much candy in one piece

Golden Eggs (Filled with Chocolate)

Is it real gold that these are coated in? It's been a while since I last watched this movie. Either way, if it is filled with chocolate, I am in.

Rating: 9.5/10 - If that is real gold you can make a fortune! But it's going to be a bit tricky to break that golden shell...

Mushrooms Filled with Cream

It looks like the mushroom is filled with the cream from an eclair! It probably isn't the greatest that it was all exposed to the air like that, but you can't win them all! I wonder what that mushroom was made out of?

Rating: 7/10 - Not the easiest to eat, but maybe you are supposed to break off pieces of the mushroom and dip it?

The Chewy Ball Augustus Gloop Eats

He sits down and demolishes this like he is eating an apple or something. There is no hesitation with that kid. What is it made out of though? I guess we will never know...

Rating: 6/10 - Honestly it doesn't look super appetizing but it's probably fine

Mysterious Leaf

Hard to tell what this is really made out of, but if everything in the room is edible, that means the leaves of the trees are too!

Rating: 5/10 - Wouldn't be my first choice when there are hundreds of other options, but depending on the flavor it would maybe be okay.

Three Course Meal Gum

If they had worked out all the kinks this might be super convenient for those of us who can't cook, but personally, I would still rather eat a meal.

Rating: 4/10 - I mean, it turned a kid into a blueberry so it's probably not a great option. Until then though, it's pretty good.

There are even more candies to judge, including the one that all the kids were supposed to steal...

Everlasting Gobstopper

Okay, let's be real, we don't really know what the thing actually is. Is it a piece of gum? Is it a hard candy? Is it soft and chewy? What is that thing? It looks like it might hurt to chew so I don't know why you would want it to last forever...

Rating: 4/10 - We don't know enough about this to really decide, but if it's in this factory it's probably at least alright.

Flavored Wallpaper

Thanks, but no thanks, Mr. Wonka. I don't think I trust these pieces of wallpaper. Who knows how long they have been up there and how many people have been licking them. This isn't something I want to share and paper texture does not sound delicious.

Rating: 1/10 - Hard pass.

Giant Licorice

This is pretty tame thing, but still great!

Rating: 7/10 - Nothing super special but still tasty!

Huge Candy Canes

Once again, you can probably find these in the holiday season, so there isn't that same wow factor, but could still be quite yummy!

Rating:  7/10 - Not super unique, but still good

Enormous Lollypops

These would probably take a good three years to actually eat. They would accumulate so much dust on them every time you took a break, or you would need a lot of saran wrap to keep them fresh.

Rating: 6/10 - It's fine, it's just excessive.

Edible Balloons

These look like they are super fun to kick, but honestly I don't want to eat something that someone just sent flying across the room using their foot? I am a little curious what's inside but I feel like these are the type of things that are just better as a decoration.

Rating: 5/10 - I don't want to eat it, but I wouldn't mind having them around to kick...

Giant Chocolate Bar

I know that I said that a lot of these were excessive, but this is the best kind of excessive. You can easily wrap chocolate back up to eat later without it going bad, and this would be a good one to share. Imagine how exciting a birthday party would be if you had this giant chocolate bar cut into pieces on the table?

Rating: 10/10 - It's so much chocolate, but it's also so much GOOD chocolate so it's fine.
