11 Times 'South Park' Absolutely Roasted Famous Celebrities
South Park has been entertaining us since 1997 with its intelligent yet disgusting humor, and a big part of that has been their commentary on celebrities. Matt Stone and Trey Parker are always ready to approach fame and infamy with a cynical look, and they don't pull any punches. In the case of these 11 celebrities, they're not afraid to get positively nasty when it comes to their parodies.
Barbara Streisand becomes Mechagodzilla
The singer comes to South Park seeking the Diamond of Pantheos, a mystical artifact that'll keep her young forever. She kidnaps the kids, and then attacks the town in her giant Mechagodzilla form.
The only things that can stop her are a team of critic Leonard Maltin (who turns into fellow Godzilla opponent Jet Jaguar), actor Syndey Poitier (who turns into Gamera), and The Cure frontman Robert Smith (who not only turns into Mothra but is also voiced by the man himself).
Phil Collins carries his Oscar everywhere
South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut was nominated for a Best Original Song Oscar for "Blame Canada!" (which was performed by Robin Williams at the show!) but lost to Phil Collins' "You'll Be In My Heart" from Disney's Tarzan.
Not one to pass up an opportunity to mock an opponent, the boys portrayed Collins as a bitter grump who lives to ruin fun things and carries his Oscar with him wherever he goes. He even plays his Oscar song, now retitled "You'll Be Inside Of Me."
Russell Crowe is Fightin' 'Round the World
Parodying the actor's notorious mean streak, South Park had Russell Crowe don a sailor suit and travel the world with his tugboat friend Tugger, getting into fights wherever he goes.
He routinely fights children and the elderly, and then performs one of his band's songs, which results in Tugger attempting suicide.
Tom Cruise won't come out of the closet
When Stan becomes the Church of Scientology's new messiah, he's approached by their most famous of members; Tom Cruise. After Stan says his acting is just "okay," Cruise has a breakdown and locks himself in Stan's closet, refusing to come out.
He is later joined by John Travolta, and then R. Kelly, who performs his own rendition of "Trapped In The Closet." This is of course in reference to the constant rumors of Cruise being a closet homosexual.
Steven Spielberg and George Lucas ruin their movies
When the director duo decide to "improve" Raiders of the Lost Ark like they did their other movies (IE by adding nonsensical extra scenes and needless CG) the boys do their best to save the movie.
In the end, the result is so awful that it causes the filmmakers' heads to explode, as per the ending of Raiders.
Ben Affleck dates "Jennifer Lopez" (Cartman's hand puppet)
When Cartman turns his left hand into "Jennifer Lopez" and performs her new hit song, "Taco Kisses," Ben Affleck leaves the real Jennifer Lopez for Cartman's hand.
Their relationship gets heated to the point of being genuinely unsettling, and all in the name of pointing out the actor's fickle dating history.

Michael Jackson (AKA "Mr. Jefferson") is obsessed with being a child
At the height of Michael Jackson's public weirdness, South Park not only lampooned the singer's obsession with childhood, but also the impact that it was potentially having on his son, Blanket.
It's a surprisingly dark and frank look at how potentially un-funny and destructive the singer's Peter Pan complex was, and it made for one of the show's best episodes.
Al Gore searches for ManBearPig
During the former Vice President's well-documented crusade against global warming, the South Park creators showed their cynicism by implying that Gore would find anything to go after if it got him publicity.
The result was a parody of Gore that had him chasing an imaginary monster called ManBearPig, all while spouting lines like "I'm SUPER cereal" and running off in a cape at the end of the episode.
Kanye West is a gay fish
The ultimate parody of the rapper's infamous ego, Kanye refuses to admit that he doesn't understand the punchline to the boys' "Fish sticks joke" and rages at people supposedly calling him a gay fish (as opposed to "a lyrical genius" or "the voice of a generation").
The episode ends with West accepting his new path as a gay fish, living in the ocean, and performing a song about his new sexual preferences. Fun fact: after the infamous Taylor Swift incident, Comedy Central aired this episode on repeat for three hours straight.
And his wife, Kim Kardashian, is a Hobbit
West returns from undersea life to speak to the kids about himself, but keeps having his wife accused of being a hobbit. He tries to argue this, but ends up confused about the whole possibility himself.
Randy Marsh is Lorde
What starts as another one of Randy's insane life ventures ends with the revelation that he actually genuinely is the "Royals" singer, to the shock of everybody.
