10 Saturday Morning Commercials That Will Make You Miss Watching Saturday Morning Cartoons
While every kid remembers the Saturday Morning cartoons we grew up with, we remember the commercials that aired between those shows just as well.
Between their catchy songs, mind-blowing (for the time) special effects, and sometimes just super memorable lines, these commercials stuck in our brains and made us want their products more than anything in the world. These 10 were especially good at it.
1) Crossfire
The game itself was kind of lame, but the commercial made it looks like the greatest thing ever. Between the dark arena, the lightning, and the theme song so awesome that Steel Panther covered it a few years ago, Crossfire lives on in commercial history.
2) The Keebler Elves
These little guys always seemed so devoted to making awesome cookies that we couldn't help but beg our parents to buy some.
3) McCain Superfries
No jingles, no forced jokes, just a kid happily eating his fries. Who didn't want to be that kid after seeing this?
4) Creepy Crawlers
How did they manage to make an over that hardens colored wax into bugs look so awesome? Has to be that catchy song.
5) Cinnamon Toast Crunch
These commercials presumed anyone other than kids wasn't able to understand what was great about one of the greatest cereals of all time. Decades later and I'm still always down for a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

6) Video games in general
Ever since home video game consoles became a thing, advertising companies sold them to us with some borderline insane commercials.
Sometimes they were over the top and epic in all the right ways (even if they were completely cheesy).
While other times they were just straight-up hilarious.
7) Popsicle
Our favorite summer treats got all the more appealing when their commercials made them seem like the most intense experience ever.
8) Fruity Pebbles
The Flintstones are instantly recognizable despite not having had a show in decades, not the least of which is thanks to their crazy cereal commercials like this one.
9) Fruit snacks. All of them.
For some reason, snacks like Fruit By The Foot and Gushers just had the most ridiculous commercials to try to sell us sugary fruit snacks.
What's probably even worse is the fact that it worked!
10) McDonald's
I'm not sure what's weirder: the fact that the company had a strange clown selling hamburgers to kids, or the fact that we honestly couldn't watch one of these commercials without getting hungry. They even had us singing a song for prizes at one point!
